General Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Program Advisory Committees is to:

  1. Advise the Administration and the Board of Directors on the long-term educational needs of the area served by the College and on other matters of importance.
  2. Serve as liaison between the College and area employers in order to facilitate assessment of employment, training, and educational needs of the service area.
  3. Serve as liaison between the College and local school boards, county commissioners, city committees, other local elected officials and other relevant groups or persons.
  4. Promote the College's programs and services among the communities and constituencies in the College's service area.

Program Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Program Advisory Committees is to:

  1. To provide advice and insight to the College concerning trends and needs of the employment community.
  2. To review the program of study and learning outcomes needed by graduates to be employed in the field.
  3. To serve as a communications link between the College and employment community.
  4. To serve as field experts to the program by interacting with faculty and students.
  5. To provide assessment of the curriculum and student learning outcomes.
