Learning Resource Center

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is available to all Manhattan Area Technical College students as an open computer lab. Students have ready access to 12 computer workstations, a laser printer/copier, scanner and fax machine, all of which are available to students and graduates.

The LRC is also a tutoring center. Students can receive tutoring assistance with general education courses, basic computer skills, reading and math skills, and program courses. Tutoring can be conducted by appointment or on a walk-in basis.

The Learning Resource Center is maintained to provide students and graduates with convenient and continuous access to employment information. It is a resource (books, directories, periodicals and videos) location for job search-related activities.

Professionally trained teachers staff the Center and provide assistance from 8:00am to 9:30pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00am to 4:00pm Friday.

What the Learning Resource Center can do for you:

• Group or Individual Instruction with MATC webmail and MATC Online, basic computer skills, keyboarding, basic reading, writing, and math skills, study skills, general education assignments, and on-line database searches
• Provides student accommodations for testing
• Resume writing for groups or individual students

The LRC is also a one-stop testing center providing test-preparation, proctoring, and accommodations when necessary for COMPASS, WorkKeys, and CASAS.
